I generally use it with a shield for most enemies cause it's still so strong, but for bosses or strong enemies that can just obliterate my shield and I'm mostly rolling, I switch to 2 handed. More powerful yeah but also a bit slower to attack. Just stick the bloody slash ash of war on it and boom, you know have two curved greatswords with a bleed passive, while keeping the bloodhound finesse weapon art.
